Fire is confined to the facility and will be allowed to burn itself out
HILLBURN – Several fire departments are at a blaze that began Friday evening that engulfed the Orange and Rockland Utilities substation on Torne Valley Road in Hillburn. The fire was still going Saturday morning and will be allowed to burn itself out.
Fire officials said they do not believe there is any immediate danger to surrounding residents.
Rockland County Hazmat was called to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
