FALLSBURG – Because of a large interest in residential construction in Fallsburg, the town is looked at establishing a temporary moratorium on new construction.
Town Supervisor Steven Vegliante said if approved, the hold on construction would impact only new plans.
“We did a hybrid moratorium because we did not stop all development. Any that had a preliminary approval or conditional final approval we are allowing to continue so we will have over 1,200 homes that can be built through our moratorium,” Vegliante said.
The town board is expected to vote on the proposal next Monday night.
