Six fire departments responded
SUFFERN – A fire on Bridge Street in Suffern Friday night destroyed a residence. Village police arrived within one minute of the call at 9:40 p.m. to find the home engulfed in flames.
All residents and pets had already escaped the inferno. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by the Suffern Police Department Detective Bureau along with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office BCI Unit.
Suffern firefighters were assisted by Tallman, Mahwah, Hillburn, Monsey and Hillcrest.
