TOWN OF CHESTER – An Orangeburg-based granite fabricator plans on building a facility in the Town of Chester now that the Orange County Industrial Development Agency has granted financial incentives it requested.
Allstate Fabricators wants to purchase a seven-acre parcel on Bellvale
Road at a cost of some $3.5 million and invest $600,000 to $800,000 to
retrofit an existing building for their business.
They sought, and the IDA granted, incentives, said Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso.
“The town is supportive of a 10-year PILOT [payment-in-lieu-of-taxes], sales and use tax exemption and mortgage tax exception,” Villasuso said. That should pave the way for their closing and construction, she said.
The new company location is expected to mean four to eight new jobs.
