Schmitt greets his supporters
NEW WINDSOR – Colin Schmitt’s State Assembly bid now has the support of a women’s coalition backing his candidacy.
Republican Schmitt will face incumbent Democrat James Skoufis in the race for the 99th District.
The coalition was announced Tuesday outside a Cornwall business. Co-chairs of the coalition include County Clerk Annie Rabbitt, legislature Majority Leader Melissa Bonacic, county GOP Chairwoman Courtney Greene, Jill DiSalvo, Nikki Pagano and Hannah Schmitt.
Greene said Schmitt “speaks for all in our community, but especially women. His leadership will always ensue all women have the same ability to succeed and pursue equal opportunities in our state.”
