GREENWOOD LAKE – Plans to develop a new park at Orange County’s largest lake – Greenwood Lake – will receive $52,000 in financial support from the Orange County Funding Corporation.
Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso said the funding request came from the Village of Greenwood Lake and Town of Warwick.
“It will create an additional part-time grounds keeper position;
it will consist of some landscaping, parking, lighting, groomed lawns,
picnicking, park benches, and a public boat launch,” Villasuso said.
There had been concern of a lack of public boat launch space in the lake, shared with New Jersey.
