MONTGOMERY – Two tanker cars of a Norfolk-Southern freight train
derailed Monday afternoon just past Route 17K at Railroad Avenue in the
Village of Montgomery.
Authorities said the cars contained non-toxic materials; however, haz-mat
teams were called to the scene to investigate.
The overturned cars tore up tracks.
There were no reports of injuries.
