HAVERSTRAW – A Union City, New Jersey woman was killed early Monday
morning when her car ran off the road while driving on the Palisades Interstate
Parkway in the Town of Haverstraw north of exit 13.
State Police said Myrian Romero, 31, veered off the road onto the shoulder
just before 6 a.m., traveled through a grassy median and struck a tree.
She was extricated from the vehicle by the Hillcrest Fire Department and
pronounced dead at the scene by the Rockland County Medical Examiner.
