Mahopac man charged with slashing roommate

CARMEL – A Mahopac man is in the Putnam County Jail following an argument with his roommate.
Carmel Town Police charged Gregory Naprava, 61, with felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.  During an argument, Naprava allegedly slashed his roommate’s neck with a steak knife.  Police did not specify the severity of the victim’s wound.
Naprava is being held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail pending a future court appearance.
