CARMEL – Before you know it, vacation time will be here, and if
you are planning to travel abroad for the first time, you should apply
for a passport now. That was the message Saturday from Putnam County Clerk
Michael Bartolotti. The county clerk’s office Saturday assisted
an “all-time record” 132 residents with their applications.
They should receive their passports in the mail in about six weeks.
Bartolotti said all U.S. citizens need a passport when reentering the
country by air, land or sea.
Residents of all area counties planning a trip out of the country can
apply at their county clerk’s office.
