Woman arrested trying to smuggle needle into Ulster Jail

KINGSTON – Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Wappingers Falls woman on a felony charge of promoting prison contraband.
On Saturday, April 16, Nicole Mastro, 19, was brought to the Ulster County
Jail on an unrelated charge and when searched, was found to have a hypodermic
needle hidden inside her body.
She was charged and will appear in Kingston City Court on the new charge at a later date.
