O’Brien
CARMEL – A Cochecton man, who led Connecticut police on a pursuit in a pickup truck, was arrested after he was stopped on Route 6 in Carmel. Daniel O’Brien, 36, fought with officers when he got out of the vehicle and was subsequently transported to Putnam Hospital for injuries he sustained during the struggle.
O’Brien was arrested and charged with attempted assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, reckless driving and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle. He is in the Putnam county Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or bond.
State Police, Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies and Brewster Police were involved in the pursuit.
