TOWN OF WALLKILL – Three Middletown men were arrested early Sunday
morning following a fight at the AMC Crystal Run 16 Theater at the Galleria
at Crystal Run in the Town of Wallkill. The incident occurred around 9:30
Saturday night when town police were called to the mall where they found
a 20-year-old Swan Lake resident suffering from several stab wounds to
his torso and leg.
The victim was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center where he was admitted
in the intensive care unit in serious condition, Chief Robert Hertman
said.
The victim told police he was with several friends in the mall when he
was attacked by a group of men, one of whom stabbed him.
Based on descriptions provided by witnesses, three suspects were apprehended
– one by Police Officer Christopher Thompson and two by Officers
Clayton Dubois and Anthony Weed. The department was assisted by State
Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Arrested and charged with felony assault with a weapon were Colleam Small,
17; Collie Small, 19; and Chandel Abel, 26, all of Middletown. Collie
Small was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
All three were remanded to the Orange County Jail.
