Heroin sales in Monroe lead to arrest

MONROE – A 26-year-old Monroe man has been arrested by Monroe Police
on several drug-related charged.

The arrest of Jonathan Piazza stemmed from information police received
that a man was selling heroin throughout Monroe. Last Wednesday, the suspect
sold heroin to an undercover police officer resulting in his arrest.

Piazza was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled
substance and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance,
all felonies.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail. Police anticipate
more drug arrests in the near future.
