NEW PALTZ – A local New Paltz business owner reported to the New Paltz Central School District that he was approached by a person claiming to be in a partnership with the high school fir a drug and alcohol resistance education-free student folder program.
The person identified himself as Ed Stanton and asked for a monetary donation, claiming he represents a company called NC PROS Inc. He also provided a toll-free phone number.
School officials said this is false as the high school does not participate in any such program.  Officials said anyone approached should not donate any money or give their credit card number to this or any other company unless it can be verified that they represent the district.
Dozens of similar complaints appear in the Internet from across the east coast. There may also be a second person identifying himself as Louis ‘Victor.
