KINDERHOOK – The Sullivan County Conservative Party has endorsed
Republican John Faso in his race for the 19th Congressional District.
The Conservative Party said Faso, as a former Republican assemblyman and
government-reform candidate, is “clearly the best candidate for
the field.” The party said he has “a proven fiscal record,
a history of protecting Second Amendment rights, a clear understanding
of issues affecting Upstate communities and more than three decades of
service to the district and New York State.”
Faso, a Kinderhook resident, is seeking the seat currently held by Republican
Christopher Gibson, who is retiring at the end of the year and is weighing
the possibility of running for governor in two years.
