POUGHKEEPSIE – Residential
customers of Central Hudson Gas and Electric will see utility bills in
their mail on a monthly basis beginning this summer. Until now, the company
billed them bi-monthly.
Officials say they are making the change to help residents more easily manage their household budgets.
Currently, most residential customers receive their bills every two months. Business customers get theirs monthly as do residential customers enrolled in the budget billing program.
Effective July 1, all customers except those who use solar generators or other private sources, will begin receiving their bill monthly.
