Threats of violence in two school districts

MID-HUDSON – Police are investigating a bomb threat at Edgemont Junior/Senior High School in Scarsdale at mid-day Monday.
In Dover Plains, State Police also investigated a threat of school violence at the Webutuck High School, for a threat of school violence.  School officials in Scarsdale called it a non-specific threat.
All students and staff were evacuated to Seely Place School where they were dismissed for the day. No students were allowed to return to the junior/senior high school campus until the investigation was completed.
After-school activities were cancelled and students with cars at the school were allowed to come back and pick them up, but were not allowed back in the building.
Classes are expected to resume as normal today.
In Dover Plains, Webutuck officials followed protocols and students, faculty and staff were immediately sheltered in place.  State Police conducted a search of the school and determined that the threat was unsubstantiated.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the State Police at 845-677-7300.
