NEWBURGH – Three Newburgh residents have been arrested and charged
with a felony for concealing a human corpse and misdemeanor conspiracy
after the body of a 28-year-old Newburgh woman was found in a ditch on
New Unionville Road in the Town of Plattekill Friday morning.
State Police said the victim, Alexis Scanlon died on February 25 while
at the home of Angel Delgado, Jr., 44, in Newburgh. Delgado along with
Kristen Green, 41, and Lauren Romano, 33, were arrested the following
day, February 27, and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000
cash bail or $10,000 bond each.
Authorities identified the dead woman through investigation by the State
Police Troop F BCI, Computer Crimes Unit and New York State Intelligence
Center. The City of Newburgh Police also assisted in the investigation,
which is still ongoing.
