MAMAKATING – A husband and wife from Rock Hill are in the Sullivan
County Jail without bail after they were pulled over on Route 17 in the
Town of Mamakating for a vehicle and traffic stop and drugs and a weapon
were found.
Police found 11 ounces of powder cocaine with a street value of $20,000
and a blackjack inside the car. A search warrant of their home on Dartmouth
Drive in Rock Hill revealed more cocaine and some 46 grams of heroin,
along with two loaded firearms, one of which was defaced.
Charged with six counts each of felony drug possession and two counts
of criminal possession of a weapon were Robert Ballard, 45, and Simona
Ballard, 43.
The couple was arrested on driving on Route 17 on Friday, February 12.
