KINGSTON – Community Development Block Grant funding applications are now being accepted from groups and organizations operating within the city.
The funding “allows us to allocate vital resources to support projects and programs specifically benefitting the low to moderate income residents of our city,” said Mayor Steven Noble. “I am eager to see the creative proposals that will come from new and old partners alike to implement activities that will provide essential programs and services, create increased economic and housing opportunities and help improve the city’s infrastructure for our residents.”
An initial public information session will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at the Rondout Neighborhood Center, 105 Broadway, beginning at 7 p.m. Applicants are urged to attend at least one such meeting, said Brenna Robinson, director of the city’s Office of Community and Economic Development.
