CARMEL – State Police are continuing to investigate an increased
number of stolen vehicle complaints and valuables stolen from vehicles
in Putnam County,
The crimes are occurring in residential neighborhoods and are facilitated
by residents who leave their car keys and valuables unsecured in their
vehicles.
Troopers advise residents to lock their cars and not store valuable property
inside them, especially where they are in sight.
