Elderly man rescued after falling through Orange Lake ice

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A 79-year-old was rescued when he fell through the ice on Orange Lake in the Town of Newburgh late Monday afternoon.
 A dive team was called from the neighboring Cronomer Valley Fire Department, but was cancelled by Orange Lake Fire Department personnel when he was removed from the lake.
The victim was transported by Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance corps to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.
