TOWN OF WOODBURY – New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the forcible rape of a woman in the Town of Woodbury last Christmas morning.
At about 5:30 in the morning, a woman was walking on Ridge Road in Highland Mills just past Highland Lake Estates when a vehicle, believed to be a two-door sedan, pulled up behind her. A man got out, accosted her and forced her into the woods where the sexual assault occurred.
The suspect is believed to be a bald, clean shaven Hispanic man with stubble and speaking with a Central American accent. After the assault, the suspect fled on foot. The car in which the suspect exited left the scene.
