Driver killed in one-car accident in Greenville

GREENVILLE – Black ice
may have been the culprit in a fatal auto accident on Mountain Road and
Route 6 in the Town of Greenville at 7 Thursday morning.

State Police said a 40-year-old man was driving when his car ran off the
road and struck a tree.

The man, whose name police did not immediately release, had to be extricated
by the Greenville Fire Department.

He was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill,
where he was pronounced dead later in the morning.
