POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess
County Public Transit has launched a new shared services partnership with
Dutchess Community College and Marist College to enhance public transpiration
for students, faculty and employees, and the general public.

The new Route H, which began this month, connects DUCC and Marist to services
and businesses in the City and Town of Poughkeepsie.

The two colleges are funding the local cost of the new fixed-route service
resulting in no cost to the county and its taxpayers.

The new route provides a direct link from the colleges to the Poughkeepsie
Transit Hub in the City of Poughkeepsie, where students can connect with
all other county bus routes.

The 45-minute round trip Route H service also includes stops at the Metro-North
train station, the Washington Street entrance to the Walkway Over the
Hudson, the Hudson Plaza, Spackenkill Plaza/Residence Inn and the Poughkeepsie
Plaza, before returning to the Poughkeepsie Transit Hub.
