Kilo of cocaine with street value of $100,000 seized, two arrested

CATSKILL – Two people are being held in the Greene
County Jail without bail following a traffic stop in the Town of Catskill
that yielded a large quantity of drugs.

Police investigation led to the stop on Route 23 and a search of the vehicle
resulted in the seizure of approximately one kilogram of cocaine with
an estimated street value of $100,000, and $5,700 in cash.

Jamaal Johnson, 38, of Troy was charged with felony drug possession. LaQuasha
Bowles, 26, of Hudson, was charged with felony drug possession, unlawful
possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic violations.

The investigation was conducted by the State Police Community Narcotics
Enforcement Team, State Police from Troops F, K and T, City of Hudson
Police and the US Probation Office.
