Tkazyik: “dedication to
fiscal responsibility”

GOSHEN – The mayor of the City of Poughkeepsie, whose term ends
on December 31 because of term limits, is now commuting across the Hudson
River for his new job as deputy commissioner of the Department of General
Services.

John Tkazyik has been mayor in Poughkeepsie for eight years; he was a
city alderman before. He said his experience working in city government
makes him well qualified for the job.

“County Executive Neuhaus shares my dedication to fiscal responsibility
and government reform,” he said. “I look forward to putting
my 14 years of experience to work for the people of Orange County,”
Tkazyik said.

Tkazyik will earn $90,000 a year in his new job.
