LIBERTY – A verbal dispute between two men at a residence on Mueller Road in the Town of Cochecton ended when one of them retrieved a loaded hunting rifle and fired it several times. No injuries were reported.
State Police arrested Steven Kautz, 32, as a result. He was charged with reckless endangerment as a felony and misdemeanors of menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Kautz was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or bond.
