Sullivan County law enforcement officers honored

MONTICELLO – Five members
of area law enforcement were honored on Saturday by the Monticello Elks
Lodge #1544.

Investigator William Young, Jr., a member of the State Police and FBI
Safe Streets Task Force, was the main honoree at a ceremony on Saturday
night.
Four other officers were honored for outstanding dedication to community
safety – Det. Michael Davis of the Monticello Police Department;
Det. Steven D’Agata of the Liberty Police Department; Det. Jason
Gorr of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office; and Det. Brendan Pavese
of the Fallsburg Police Department.

Hank Gross is the founder of Mid-Hudson News and a veteran journalist with over five decades of experience covering the Hudson Valley. A graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where he began his career in broadcasting, Hank has worked across radio, TV, and print media since 1970. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including an Associated Press “Best Newscast” award and recognition as a “Pillar of the Community” by the Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center. He lives in Middletown with his wife, Virginia.
