SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties woman was arrested by Saugerties Police on a charge of falsely reporting an incident for calling 911 to report a medical emergency and being transported to the hospital in Kingston.
Police said Cassandra Lewis, 28, was transported to the hospital by Diaz Ambulance Service and shortly thereafter, she signed herself out. Police investigated and determined she had called the ambulance to hitch a ride so she could see her boyfriend who lives nearby in Kingston.
Lewis was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Saugerties Village Court.
