CORTLANDT – Two people were arrested by State Police on felony grand larceny charges after one stuffed over $3,000 worth of merchandise from the Kohl’s department store on East Main Street in Cortlandt and walked out the door while the other waited outside with the motor running in her SUV.
Troopers charged Carlos Jessamy, 38, of the Bronx, and Erin Driscoll, 25, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts after Jessamy walked out of the store with the items and was placing the suitcases in an SUV operated by Driscoll.
Jessamy fled from police on foot running back into the store before he was located hiding in an aisle and taken into custody.  He was also charged with criminal impersonation and falsifying business records, both misdemeanors, for supplying police with a fictitious name at the time of his arrest.
Jessamy is in the Westchester County Jail without bail.  Driscoll is held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
