GOSHEN – In an effort to promote Orange County’s businesses, County Executive Steven Neuhaus began a new program, “Open for Business,” on Monday
As part of that effort, he is visiting businesses, starting with a bagel and a cup of coffee. The breakfast treat was at Orange County Bagel Bakery in Goshen, one of two businesses, the other in Middletown.
“Orange County is a community that is definitely open for business,” Neuhaus said. “Our cities, towns and villages understand this message and are hard at work promoting business-friendly environments.” He said his new initiative “will help jumpstart local businesses and ensure that they prosper.”
“The county executive is very progressive; he’s very business-oriented,” said Robert Kunis, the bagel shop’s owner.
“Steve is a young go-getter,” said Kunis’ son, Brent. “That’s what we need.”
