Milton Train Station

MILTON – Members of the Friends of Milton on Hudson Train Station, the local organization that has raised the funds and helped restore the historic building along the Hudson River in Milton, celebrated the work they accomplished with Ulster County Executive Michael Hein on Monday evening.
Hein praised the work of the local people who brought the station back to life, calling it a “gateway” to southern Ulster County.
“The train station is a magnificent example of just how beautiful some of these incredibly historic places are and the dedication of the individuals who have been involved in this is amazing,” he said. “Not only did they rebuild this place, but after Superstorm Sandy and a 9 ½ foot record storm surge, they had to build it again.”
Friends of the Train Station President Cindy Lanzetta said community contributions and FEMA funds helped pay for the restoration after the Sandy flooding.
