RAMAPO – Ramapo Police
are reminding residents to lock their car doors, even if they are in their
driveways as there has been a rash of recent larcenies in the last few
weeks. In most cases, they have occurred in unlocked vehicles parked overnight
in a driveway.

Most of the incidents have occurred in the Monsey and Hillcrest areas,
but police remind all residents of some crime prevention tips to decrease
the likelihood of theft.

They include always locking your car doors, never leaving valuables in
your car; park in a well lit area if possible, and if you see something
suspicious call Ramapo Police at 845-537-2400.
