MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office charged a Grahamsville man with filing false workers compensation papers so that he could get a building permit.
David Miller, 42, who is a home repair contractor, was charged with the felony of filing a false instrument.
Miller allegedly claimed he would be the only person working on a home renovation job in Kauneonga Lake, when in fact he had five different employees on the project.
Miller filed the workers compensation form with the Town of Bethel building department on June 18, 2015.
He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
