Chester man charged with operating marijuana grow operation

TOWN OF CHESTER – A warrant search of a residence at 881 Laroe Road in the Town of Chester on Monday morning resulted in the arrest of the homeowner and the confiscation of live marijuana plants and other drug-related materials.
When police raided the home of David Buck, 68, shortly after 8 a.m. they seized over 200 live marijuana plants from the backyard as well as a significant quantity of dried and packaged marijuana inside the residence.
He was charged with criminal possession of marijuana as a felony and was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 bond.
The investigation was conducted by Town and Village of Chester Police, State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
