Two women shot in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – City Police in Newburgh are investigating the shooting of two women early Monday morning.  Police Chief Daniel Cameron said officers and detectives continue to sort through various versions of what occurred.
At 12:24 a.m., officers responded to the area of 40 Benkard for a report of shots fired. They found a vehicle fleeing to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
The car contained two women, ages 22 and 24, who had gunshot wounds to their legs. The injuries were not considered life-threatening,
So far, no arrests have been made.
