PEEKSKILL – City Police in Peekskill
arrested a Beacon man in connection with the weekend burglary of a beauty
salon on South Street in Peekskill.

Ernest Gordineer, 43, of Petticoat Lane in Beacon was picked up on Highland
Avenue at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday by Officer Fabian Gonzalez, who recognized
him as being wanted for the August 2 burglary of Daisy’s Salon at
739 South Street.

Video evidence from the crime scene assisted police in identifying Gordineer
as the suspect after recognizing him from previous cases where he was
arrested.

Gordineer, who has over 20 criminal convictions, is charged with burglary.

Peekskill Police are continuing to investigate a second burglary reported
the following day on Washington Street where he is a suspect.

He was also charged by State Police with two counts of grand larceny in
connection with larcenies committed at BJ’s in Wappingers Falls
on July 21 and Sam’s Club on July 28.

Peekskill Det. Ralph D’Aliso identified Gordineer from fliers circulated
by the State Police.
