ALBANY – The State Health state Health Department has selected one Orange County proposal to develop a medical marijuana manufacturing facility and three dispensing facilities in Westchester and Ulster counties.
In Orange County, PharmaCann was chosen to build a facility in Hamptonburgh.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus is thrilled with the news.
“This company has significant credibility and will be a great asset to the region,” Neuhaus said. “Medical marijuana will be helping those in need and will also create jobs. The decision means compassionate care and better jobs for the community and is a great win for Orange County.”
One dispensing facility was identified – Etain in Ulster County in the Town of Ulster.
Two dispensing facility were selected in Westchester – Etain and Empire State Health Solutions.
