FISHKILL – Top elected officials from the Village and Town of Fishkill are going to sit down and discuss issues of commonality.  The session will take place next month at a village board workshop session.
Town Supervisor Robert LaColla said there are a number of topics in which they can share interests.
“The Village of Fishkill and Town of Fishkill share water resources and services as well as sewer and some common interests – traffic, economic development, land use, the complete streets policy,” LaColla said. “We completely surround the village so there are a lot of points of connection where we can connect more.”
LaColla would like to see these joint sit-downs on a regular basis noting their municipal buildings are only 1 ½ miles apart.
“I’d like to see us get into a more regular pattern of meeting,” he said.
