More narcotics arrests associated with major federal drug bust

MONTICELLO — Five people were arrested Tuesday in connection with an
illegal conspiracy to distribute narcotics in Sullivan County. The arrests
were made in conjunction with the unsealing of federal indictments charging
34 others in White Plains with federal crimes for their alleged conspiracy
to distribute heroin and cocaine.
Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell said more arrests are
expected in both federal and state court.
Arrested locally on state charges of conspiracy for their alleged participation
in a conspiracy to distribute heroin in Sullivan County were Miguel Uhl,
27, of Liberty, Paul Dilorenzo, 31, of Smallwood, and Brian Olmstead,
36, of Monticello.
All five were remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
This year-long investigation was conducted by the FFBI, Hudson Valley
Safe Streets Task Force, the State Police, Village of Liberty Police,
Town of Fallsburg Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office as well
as prosecutors from the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District
of New York and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
