PORT JERVIS – A 30-year-old female art teacher is accused of having a relationship with a 16-year-old male student at Port Jervis High School.
Ashley Kaufmann was charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, both as misdemeanors.
State Police said the forcible touching charge stems from physical contact and the student being incapable of consenting due to his age.
Kaufmann was issued an appearance ticket to Deerpark Town Court and released.
