GOSHEN – The second round of voluntary
separation incentives being offered to eligible Orange County employees
has had 30 people sign up for it.
The first round last fall saw some 128 government workers taking advantage
of it.
County Human Resources Commissioner Steven Gross is encouraged by the early interest.
“We think that is a very good showing considering we are only a
couple of weeks into it and the application deadline goes to the end of
August and they have to leave by the end of September,” Gross said.
“There are another six weeks or so to apply and get into the
program.”
This second round of retirements is built into the recently approved
CSEA employment contract with the county.
