KINGSTON – A Kingston man, who was
released from the Ulster County Jail Thursday evening, was rearrested
on other charges after corrections officers investigated and found that
he had made threats while incarcerated that he was going to kill a female
acquaintance when he was released from jail.

The sheriff’s office said Andreas Washington made statements while
in jail about killing the woman. An investigation also revealed Washington
made threats directly to the woman on several occasions while in jail.

Washington was arrested and charged with felony aggravated family offense
and misdemeanors of aggravated harassment and stalking.

He was remanded back to the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or
$7,500 bond.

A full stay away order of protection was issued ordering him to have no
contact with the woman.
