GOSHEN – With the year half over, government officials have their sights on 2016 and continued fiscal constraints.
Orange County, which faced a deficit going into 2015, continues to watch its pennies with an eye toward further savings, said County Executive Steven Neuhaus.
“Right now I am looking at the overall operations of every department in the county including Valley View to continue to make savings,” Neuhaus said. “The less we have to spend of taxpayer money is the direction we are trying to head, if possible.”
All levels of government in the state are under a two percent tax cap law in an effort to keep spending down to a minimum.
