POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie
Thursday arrested a second man wanted in the rape of a 14-year-old girl
in September of last year.
Glen Beazer, 27, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was located by Poughkeepsie
Town Police and turned over to city detectives.
He was charged with felony rape and criminal sexual act.
The girl, who was not a Poughkeepsie resident, told police after the attack
that she had met a man, later identified as Chazz McDowell, 24, formerly
of the City of Poughkeepsie. He took the child to an apartment at 209
Winnikee Avenue where he, along with another man, gave her alcohol and
drugs.
After that, the two men then allegedly sexually assaulted the victim over
several hours and then left her in the apartment.
After an investigation, McDowell was found to have flown to Las Vegas
in the days after the incident. Warrants were obtained for his arrest
on rape and criminal sexual act felony charges.
Vegas police were notified and took him into custody. On November 14,
2014, he was picked up in Las Vegas by Poughkeepsie detectives and flown
back to New York. He was arraigned and sent to the Dutchess County Jail.
