POUGHKEEPSIE – Republican Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro was endorsed Tuesday by two village mayors – Red Hook Mayor Ed Blundell, a Democrat, and Rhinebeck Mayor Heath Tortarella, a Republican.
Molinaro faces a challenge from Democrat Diane Jablonski.
Blundell said that they have periodic work sessions where they review policy issues important to Red Hook and discuss ideas to the benefit of all residents. “Over the years, Marc has shown that no matter what our differences are, when we work together anything is possible.”
Tortarella said Molinaro “works hard to build partnerships, provide leadership and support the work in our village.”
“I promised four years ago that if we worked together in a bipartisan way and were committed, we could solve the problems we faced and that no challenge was beyond our reach,” Molinaro said.
