MARLBOROUGH – Police arrested five

The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team began investigating
narcotics and marijuana sales by several people in the area in February,
including undercover purchases of cocaine, diverted pharmaceuticals and
marijuana.

On Thursday, members of the US Marshals Service arrested Marcus Brooks,
20, of Newburgh, on a warrant for several counts of criminal sale and
possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday, other arrests were made in the Town of Marlborough. Robert
Greer, 29, of Marlborough, was arrested on an indictment warrant for several
counts of criminal sale and possession of drugs. James Boykin, 40, Erica
Heindel, 25, and Krista Lang-Becker, 18, all of Marlborough, were also
arrested on drug charges.

Drugs and cash were seized during a warrant search at 33 Orchard Street.
Automobiles owned by Brooks and Greer were seized pending asset forfeiture
proceedings.

URGENT was assisted by Marlborough Police, State Police at Highland, the
Ulster County District Attorney’s Office and US Marshals Service.
