Prison inmate found with weapon

FISHKILL – A prisoner at Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill is charged with felony promoting prison contraband.
Hasean Banks, 19, was arrested on Tuesday, June 9 following an investigation. On March 29, State Police were notified by the State Department of Corrections and Community Service that Banks was found in possession of a metal cutting instrument in the prison.
He was arraigned and returned to Downstate and is scheduled to return to Fishkill Town Court at a later date.
